Please plan to join the Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race and Achilles Pikes Peak at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Colorado Running Company, as we host Alex Nichols, one of the top ultra runners in the business, and the ambitious Joe Turcotte, who plans to begin his run across the United States in April.
Alex has written a rich running resume on trails and mountains around the world. He has won the Run Rabbit Run 100, the Mount Blanc 80K and the Pikes Peak Marathon. He placed second at the 2017 Western States 100 and was named the USATF 2015 Ultra/Trail Runner of the Year.
Joe quit his job to pursue a grand adventure. He’ll begin in Boston and run until he stands before the Pacific Ocean. He figures there will be about 6 million steps between. And he’s raising funds for Achilles Pikes Peak and Canine Companions for Independence. We’ll let him tell you about that.
We’ll accept registrations for the Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race (can’t beat these prices) $50 for the 50K, $40 for the 25K, and $30 for the 10K.
Online registration at > https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=51609. The race serves as a fundraiser for Achilles Pikes Peak, an organization that helps athletes with disabilities to live active lives.
The speaker event is FREE and so is the beer and food, so come on out and enjoy a fun night with cool people!
Special thanks to the Colorado Running Company for providing a great venue, not to mention excellent service!Running Company, as we host Alex Nichols, one of the top ultra runners in the business, and the ambitious Joe Turcotte, who plans to begin his run across the United States in April.
